IT Support Engineer for Network, Global IT Center, Česká republika, Czech Republic

What will be your key responsibilities:
We have a vacancy in 2nd level support team. You will primarily be responsible for configuration, management and troubleshooting Cisco network devices – meaning routers, switches, ASA firewalls, wireless bridges and access points. In our responsibility are more than 2500 WAN circuits, 2500 Access points, 750 firewalls, 7000 switches and over 8000 servers (both Windows and Linux-based) spread across 6 Data Centers (Europe, North America and Asia). As well as working with Zscaler (cloud-based web filtering solution) and tools such as IPAM, SolarWinds, NetFlow, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE and others while mainly focusing on the following:
- Deployment and configuration (DMVPN, standard L2/L3 switches, Process-to-Business Firewalls, Site-to-site and Remote VPN)
- Change implementation (migrations from MPLS to DMVPN, to cloud-based web filtering)
- Incident management (communication with major MPLS providers on daily basis)
- Troubleshooting (on Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS and ASA, SteelHead)
General responsibilities:
- Ticket queue management
- Monitoring of infrastructure
- Processing general requests from internal customers
What experience should you have:
- Networking skills
Either CCNA certification or CCNA-level knowledge
Scripting skills are an advantage (PowerShell, Python, PHP, Bash …)
- General knowledge of IT surrounding technologies (VMware, Microsoft server OS, etc.)
It helps in understanding of the overall infrastructure services and dependencies
- Very good English skills
Communication on daily basis with other IT teams
- University degree in IT field is an advantage
University degree is not necessary if you have strong subject orientation and fast learning skills
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
