As an Internal Controls Specialist in Group Internal Audit (GIA), you will participate in various audit activities, with a focus on financial reporting controls testing. You will have the opportunity to learn about many areas of our client, as well as their processes and controls. This role is an opportunity to deal with themes that have organizational impact and drive the risk culture of our client.
What will be your key responsibilities:
How you can make an impact?
- As a member of Internal Audit team, you'll be performing detailed testing on internal controls over financial reporting across various areas and summarising findings
- Engage with various stakeholders across the business representing the team
- Update all relevant documentation for control testing purposes in the Internal Audit tools
- Provide consultation to various controls and process owners across the globe
- Supporting projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Control function.
- Participating in local, regional and global audits, positively impacting the delivery and using your areas of expertise to contribute to GIA audit plan
- Participating in GIA's critical initiatives and projects as opportunities arise.

In addition, you are passionate about innovation and transformation including but not limited to data analytics.
Furthermore:
- 2 -3 years’ experience gained within the Financial Services sector, with exposure to finance, actuarial science, audit or assurance
- Good knowledge and experience about IFRS (preferred).
- Qualified or working towards a CPA, CA, CIA professional certification or having passed several actuarial exams (preferred).
- Prior experience in either internal or external audit is an advantage.
- Structured thinking with the ability to prioritise and deliver assignments on time.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail oriented and excellent analytical skills.
- Tech savvy with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Willingness to learn
