Quality Assurance Engineer, Information Technology - Prague

Rohlik is a technology company. That's why IT is the biggest team in HQ and it is the true heart of our agile landscape. We are the catalyst of business - the business will grow as fast as we deliver functions.
We are organized in tribes and squads (adopted Spotify agile model) or in Technology Project Teams (if needed). Each squad evolves and maintains some business area or core technology area. IT (or better to say the whole agile landscape) is an international team which has to work and support every branch in the Rohlík family with an equal service level. We operate from Prague, but we serve each country with the same approach and power. The whole IT team has around 120 members, QA department around 20.

What will be your key responsibilities:

Testing in Rohlik is specific. We have adopted agile style of testing with focus on automation. We test ordering and fullfillement center processes as well as backend and frontend. Testing in Rohlik is not the same as in corporate-style companies - we are focusing on velocity much more and reaching good enough level of software quality could be sometimes a little bit stress:) We have implemented CICD style of work, our technical infrastructure is based on microservices, infrastructure is in cloud.

What we are expecting from you
x Test analysis (15% of time)

-Tester should comment of first analysis of Analysts with a vision of early testing as a prevention from error in following stages of development, because they are the most

experienced with usual errors and are closest to the customer in IT department

- Testing preparations, collection of documents, project meetings
- Tester also analyses specification and creates sets of test sets and scenarios
- Close cooperation with developers and other squad members

x Test execution (60% of time)

- Execute prepared manual test cases
- Report defects and discuss the behavior on standups
- Be part of the team, attend all agile ceremonies
- Evaluate the results from test execution, be able to summarize the status of testing

x Test automation (25% of time, based on maturity level could be increased)

- Run prepared automated tests
- Evaluate the results
- Fix problems in tests in case of need (not mandatory, but highly welcomed)
- Continue in test automation in our framework based on Selenium - Selenide - Appium in Java (not mandatory, but highly welcomed)

What experience should you have:

- At least 3 years of experience in testing
- Knowledge of testing principles
- Knowledge of automation (mandatory for at least 1 out of 3 positions we have)
- Standard technical skillset for tester like SQL, logs orientation, basics of programming, orienteation in bugtracking and test management tools,
- Excellent communication skills and ability to express your opinion
- Analytical mind and problem-solving attitude
- Creativity and ability to independently solve problems
- English on communicative level
