We are Devcity, a team of young enthusiasts from the IT world. We keep pace with the newest trends and technologies. We like to both play with our own products and help our customers mostly in e-commerce with their key projects. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic React software engineer who has already built a few projects and knows what it takes to deploy and run them in a production environment.

Working agile is our standard. We are not newbies at this, we have been doing it for a long time and we know how to do it.

You can find our central hub in Prague and in Brno, but you can work from anywhere and help us to create more hubs, both in the Czech Republic and around the world.

What will be your key responsibilities:

You will spend time on the following:

You will take ownership of the technical aspects of our global technology infrastructure, ensuring that the platform is being used to its fullest potential through designing and building applications around our customer’s needs
You will Design/Develop/Migrate a myriad of Goods applications for AWS & Kubernetes
You will collaborate with teams in other organizations to ensure that required business features and compliance rules are implemented effectively
Build service artefacts, plan deployment, coordinate timeline and tasks with project management and teams
Improve service stability by identifying critical service specific metrics, setting meaningful alerting thresholds, and automating alerting responses
Drive the discussion and decisions of technical topics related to the team

What experience should you have:

We’re excited about you if you have:

3+ years of industry experience in developing and supporting web applications and troubleshooting internal and external requests / bug reports in transactional environment
Strong coding skills in React, Node is big advantage
Strong problem solving, debugging skills, data structure and algorithms fundamentals
Experience with REST API based micro services
Good communication and collaboration skills
Solid knowledge with relational databases like MySQL or Postgre
Understanding of NoSQL databases is a plus
