Technical Writer, TietoEVRY, Ostrava
As Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high quality user documentation and various presentation materials for customers. You will actively cooperate with product managers across the Energy & Utilities unit, customer service stakeholders, and software developers on building and assembling the user documentation and other documents required by customers. Energy & Utilities applications are used by Nordic customers in Sweden, Norway and Finland for operating retail and distribution services in Energy.
What will be your key responsibilities:
-Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the products and the user documentation requirements
-Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
-Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online helpers
-Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of product and solutions
-Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
-Create and maintain the information and user documentation architecture, contribute to definition of documentation standard and way of working
What experience should you have:
Proven working experience in technical writing of software product documentation
Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Excellent written skills in English
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and publishing systems and documentation generating tools
Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
