What will be your key responsibilities:
Evaluating performance, scalability and stability of software systems in different stages of the development lifecycle, communicating your findings to developers, architects and project management for them to make better-informed decisions, and assisting in troubleshooting of discovered performance problems. Other responsibilities include:
- Gathering performance requirements from stakeholders
- Devising performance test strategies
- Creating workload models
- Generating test data
- Setting up monitoring at different levels of the entire software stack
- Implementing performance tests
- Analysing test results
- Reporting findings in a verbal and written form to stakeholders
What experience should you have:
- Scientific thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of computer systems
- Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. C, Java, JavaScript), operating systems, networking
- Experience with LoadRunner, Apache JMeter, Gatling or any other load test tools welcomed
- Solid knowledge of mathematical statistics
