FP&A Data & Insight Engineer, Rohlik Group, Prague, Prague – Karlín
This role will require you to be extremely hands-on, organised, able to cope well under pressure and have a passion for financial planning and Analysis in a fast-growing start-up environment.
What will be your key responsibilities:
As a direct report to the FP&A Manager, you will support them to Partner with the Group CFO and Country Leadership to deliver their ambitious plans to drive growth while reducing cash burn. You will be responsible for unlocking insight for the FP&A team via streamlining data processes across the business and putting the building blocks in place for to take Rohlik to the next level of management reporting.
What we expect from you
- Support the FP&A manager and FP&A team in all data related tasks
- Ensure that data is integrated across the various systems and applications used by the finance team, such as ERPs, budgeting tools, and reporting platforms.
- Support process automation, look for opportunities, and help develop data pipelines for more efficient processes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to understand their reporting needs and develop data models that meet those needs, such as models for generating balance sheet and P&L statements.
- Create data quality standards and perform checks, implementing automated processes to detect and correct data quality issues.
- Explore potential technological solutions for automation or streamlining of processes and support with implementations
- Support in the implementation of a financial forecasting software such as Anaplan
- Work closely with our Group BI department to drive insights from data for FP&A and wider Finance team
- Looks for ways to improve and innovate the ways of working across FP&A and our interactions with the Group Board and Country leadership teams
- Openness to support the team in non data related tasks when necessary for example: use financial models and other tools to predict future financial and operational performance, taking into account market trends, risks and opportunities, economic conditions, and other factors to support strategic decisions and investor presentations for the CFO.
What experience should you have:
- Strong in building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels with a wide range of people including Executive Group leadership, country leadership and senior management.
- Strong data background such as building data models, warehouses and maintaining a financial business data warehouse.
- Experience in tools such as SQL, python, snowflake, Power query, Power BI, some ETL orchestration tool (inhouse we use Keboola) and TABLEAU
- An ideal candidate will have previous financial exposure however this is not a must. However a passion for learning new data domains such as finance will be needed to succeed in this role
- Entrepreneurially minded, attention to detail and takes an innovative approach to problem solving
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously whilst delivering high quality and dependable work
- You can build high level models and think strategically plus enjoy working in an innovative and ever-changing environment
- Excellent analytical,quantitative and communication skills
- Team player who takes pride and ownership in his/her and the teams work
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (business, science, engineering, finance, statistics or related field preferred)
- 1 - 3 years working experience either in finance, business consulting, strategy or investment banking.
- Fluency in English a must
